Water soluble PVA film is a new type of plastic product that has emerged internationally. They are mainly used in embroidery and water transfer printing (color printing of glass, ceramics, electrical enclosures,
etc.), with an annual usage of about 10000 tons of PVA in this field.
PVA films are divided into water resistant films and water-soluble films. The water resistant film is made from PVA with a polymerization degree above 1000 and completely saponified. The water soluble film is made from PVA with low degree of polymerization and partial saponification. The main packaging used is water resistant PVA film. PVA film has good transparency and glossiness, is not easy to accumulate static electricity, is not easy to adsorb dust, and has good printing performance. In a dry state, it has airtightness, fragrance retention, and good oil resistance; Has good mechanical strength, toughness, and resistance to stress cracking; Can be heat sealed; PVA film has high moisture permeability, strong absorption, and unstable size. So polyvinylidene chloride coating, also known as K-coating, is usually used.
